Legal document change history
Every version of every document we publish, newest first.
Each entry below records one published version of one document: the date it took effect, how significant the change was, and a one-line summary of what changed. The version identifier is a fingerprint of the document's own text: it is calculated from the words themselves, not typed in by hand, so it changes when and only when the document does.
Two consequences of that are worth stating plainly. A new version does not by itself mean your rights changed. Fixing a typo changes the text, so it produces a new version too; each entry's significance label and summary say whether a change affects what you agreed to. In the other direction, a few values that differ between our test and live environments (our support email address and the web addresses of this site and the dashboard) appear as named placeholders inside the fingerprinted text, so the fingerprint does not move when only those addresses do.
Every version stays available at its own permanent link. If we sent you a notice about a change, the link in that email will always show you exactly the text it described, even after a later version replaces it.
Content you submit on or after this date may be used in full — not only aggregated, anonymized patterns drawn from it — to evaluate and improve the Service, and copies kept for that purpose are not deleted when you leave or close your account. Content submitted earlier is unaffected.
The content licence you grant now covers retaining and using your submissions and their analysis to evaluate, test, and improve the Service, including after your subscription ends. It applies only to content you submit on or after this date.
